It’s the End of the World Arcade Racing and I Feel Fine…,
Just got this game today and have been playing it for several hours now. It is a lot of fun. The controls have been tightened up since Pacific Rift. The various vehicles still handle differently, but the new cars are very fun, and are a great addition to the Motorstorm series. The graphics are great in game-play and the city-landscape is fleshed out well, though the colors of the city, the crazy people you end up running over, the (what struck me as) slightly James Bond ’70s TV show music and the over-the-top comic cut scenes add a sort of “don’t take this too seriously” feel to the game. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, in fact, I think it’s a good direction for Motorstorm as a franchise, because sometimes I felt Pacific Rift took itself too seriously.
You begin playing Apocalypse and notice some interesting ways they get you up to speed with the story and how to utilize the game controls and strategies. In no time at all you’re racing and winning races and thinking to yourself “this is really easy.” But before too long you find some incredibly difficult tracks and the other players make life slightly more challenging. I was worried with the over-the-top track chaos and the insane “difficult to handle vehicle” mechanics that this game would be way to difficult. I feel those fears have been revealed. The skyline track you probably have seen if you’ve watched demos of the game showed an insane track that was almost impossible not to die in and have numerous frustrating “really?” moments. It’s true that at times the game is frustrating and there are moments I found myself upset at the game for killing me. But half those times, I really did realize deep down that I crashed because I was stupid and made a mistake-other times I was driving a mudplugger at 90mph and hoping to make it turn left to avoid a bridge support and let’s be honest, that’s probably not going to happen.
The more I play this game the more I realize just how much it is about chaos. It’s insane fun ripping around the track and while I have many times hit those “oh snap” or “that’s not cool!” moments where you feel either the insane grace the game has given you or the way in which it seems to be cheating, it’s still just a lot of fun. It never feels like it’s impossible to win, just difficult, you have to learn the tracks later in the game to do well and when you’re racing through a track that’s falling a part that’s when this game is at its’ best. Sadly, towards the end of the game I am noticing less of those kinds of tracks. However, the destruction and devastation still looks great even “after the fact”. Besides almost ever track still provides tons of intense racing, lots of different paths to choose from and crazy competition even if the track isn’t falling apart as you race it. Let me be clear, half if not more have real-time changing effects altering the track some of which are on the verge of insanity which is one of the many elements that drives this game towards awesomeness. I loved Motorstorm Pacific Rift but this one beckons me to continue playing where as I have yet to finish Pacific Rift to the final leveling up. I think the reason this one is more addictive is due to the intense sense of speed, the tracks and the great feel of arcade racing.
What I love about this game is the sense of insane speed, the chaotic tracks and the over-the-top feel the game has to it. It really scream “arcade” and it really feels arcade down to the “what were they smoking?” cut-scenes. The game does a great job of creating great tracks with an insanely fun arcade racing experience and it does it so well you’ll be unable to take your eyes off the road to look at what place your in let alone what time it is or where your girlfriend has wandered off to.
If you like arcade racing games, motorstorm games, great racing tracks then what are you waiting for? Get this game! This game is a pure arcade adrenaline rush from start to finish.

Pure destruction and adrenaline.,
I got this game today and when i started playing festival mode, it was a complete fun and destruction. Graphics are awesome even with so much going on the frame rate is just smooth. I’ve played about 2 hours in rookie campaign and it kept getting more challenging. The comic scenes just give the fun moments in the game and it makes a nice mood. There is a feature they added in the game which you can take photos in campaign mode while you playing which is sweet. The physics are terrific same as the AI. I don’t know if there is the same feature in online mode because psn stills down. If you buy this game which i recommend it will be lots of fun…I changed my mind, i don’t know if i have one after playing this game. I passed the rookie mode and the i got to the pro mode in the festival which is soo effin difficult. I’m stuck on a track that is impossible to win. I have a supermini which doesn’t help at all. The developers exaggerated the game difficulty, let me tell you I’m not a child so you know that i can handle any game except this ridiculous hard game. I’ll be surprise if the own developers won’t be able to beat this game. I think IGN was right about the difficulty of this game.(it will make you throw your controller away). I hope there is an update to fix the difficulty. I still recommend this game because has epic graphics and full of adrenaline except for festival in pro mode which is PURE FRUSTRATION.
Multiplayer….(PSN is down:(
Graphics-9.7/10
Gameplay-9/10
Physics-9.5/10
Sound and music 10/10

review based on the graphics and 3D quality,
now if i want to talk about graphics this game looks amazing overall (water, sky , cars , level design , lands) they all look realistic at certain extent.
now the 3D is really impressive it immerses you deeper in the game , at some moments you feel like you are in that world( very good stuff)
game play: if you played the previous you will know what i mean when i tell you that it full of adrenaline action especially now because you have collapsing around you (buildings, bridges etc…) if you like crazy racing games i would highly recommend this game to you
